Bug Description

I'm using a MSI DUAL NET CARD to connect to my home wireless g network using Kubuntu Feisty Fawn 7.04. When using 6.06 it connected fine, but now when connecting to wifi it stops at "28% configuring device", this happens for multiple wireless networks and nothing seems to freeze or lock up during it. Also, it recognizes my card as a Ralink card, but I believe the chipset on my card is in fact a ralink, but not sure.

-The /etc/network/interfaces file

Changed in knetworkmanager:

I am having the same problem with a Toshiba Satellite L15-S104. The WLAN is seen and I can connect using wlassistant. KNetworkManager hangs at 28% during Activation Stage: Configuring Device, it eventually stops trying and never does connect.

I can use wlassistant to connect but would like the convenience of not having to reconnect after rebooting or after inactivity on this laptop.

I am using Kubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn installed Wed last week (May 2, 2007). The drivers are for IPN2220 installed using ndisgtk (Windows Wireless Drivers installer).

Hi, I'm having a similar problem with my MSI laptop. In Suse 10.1 the workaround was to run 'dhclient ra0' from the command line, but this no longer works. What does work is to go into System Settings -> Network Settings, disable eth0 and ra0, and then re-enable ra0.

I'll now attach the logs your asked the other user for...
