Since ubuntu 12.10, my wifi is correctly detected and network-manager try to connect to it, but it seems unable to connect : it asks again and again the wifi password. If I try to connect to an open wifi network, it just fails after some time.

I notice a possibly unrelated problem in your syslog. NM can't communicate with its slave dnsmasq. To work around this, comment out "dns=dnsmasq" in /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf and then "sudo restart network-manager".

Please shut down; disconnect Ethernet cable; boot; enable Wi-Fi; attempt to connect to Wi-Fi network (and presumably fail); plug in Ethernet cable. Then run "apport-collect 1101534" to submit more information including a useful syslog.

Laurent Vivier, because Samsung does not easily reveal what the latest BIOS is for this model, could you please download the latest firmware software as per http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/NP305U1A-A01FR-downloads, and advise if a BIOS update is available? If so, when you update to this, does it change anything? If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Laurent Vivier, could you please confirm this issue exists with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . If the issue remains, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

Also, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue.
