Bug Description

Whenever an issue arises and a program crashes, I click on send error, but the CPU is then hogged to 100% and I get and error report saying: "Ubuntu has experienced an internal error" and the window shows the error happens on apportcheckresume, but no other details are available.

This bug makes Ubuntu unbearable as 12.10 seems to be very unstable for me and crash all the time, therefore apport launches, therfore apport crashes, therefore I have a 100% cpu usage for a few minutes.

I just managed to do a successfull crash report after a dist-upgrade. Whatever you did for 13.04 seems to be working!

I have this "Sorry, Ubuntu 13.04 has experienced an internal error" for a while now.
Had it on 12.10 already. I have an HP Pavilion dv6 laptop with i7 core and 8 GB ram.
This message usually pops up after I log in.

When trying to send the crash report I can see it complains about ExecutablePath
/usr/share/apport/apportcheckresume

Apart from the popup all seems to work well :-)
Getting the Unity desktop takes quite a while; way too much in my opinion, especially
because I have plenty of RAM and 8 cores

Hope this helps in the trouble shooting.

Yep, it's back for me as well, on 13.04

Same symptoms for me, also started with 12.10, just like for everyone here.

Do you all have an upgraded install (from 12.10) or a fresh install of 13.04?

Me too. The amusing thing is if I try to report the apportcheckresume bug, the bug reporter itself crashes. Then ubuntu launches bugreporter in a new process and asks me to report the previous bug before promtly crashing again, triggering a new bug report...
