A new version of at-spi2-core was released to fix a few crashers. The previous version, 2.6.2 also fixes some other bugs, as indicated in the changelog below. This update should be considered under the GNOME release update exception.

What's new in at-spi2-core 2.6.3:

* Fix a crash when receiving a malformed event.

* Fix atspi_accessible_get_index_in_parent when the parent is not cached

* Fix crash in atspi_device_listener_new_simple.

* registry: Fix a crash when removing hung processes.

* registry: Fix deregistering of applications.

* registry: Fix crash handling DeregisterKeystrokeListener

* Fix some compiler warnings.

What's new in at-spi2-core 2.6.2:

* Don't output a warning when a p2p connection isn't available.

* Don't distribute dbind-config.h (BGO#688083).

Hello! Thanks for the fix uploaded to quantal-proposed. This bug is lacking the required documentation to move through the SRU process. Please update it according to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates. In particular, the bug description needs a test case and a regression potential to help testers verify the fix. Until those are filled in, the upload cannot be accepted.

Accepted at-spi2-core into quantal-proposed. The package will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/at-spi2-core/2.6.3-0ubuntu0.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

I can verify that this package continues to function normally when using it with the ubuntu desktop and applications.
