In systemsettings, input devices, just clicking on the touchpad symbol crashes whole systemsettings program.

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I just go to "K menu" --> "System config" --> "Input devices" --> "Mouse", when I click on "Touchpad" I get this error (backtrace attached).

I solved this bug it has to do with the nvidia update after u install the video driver delete the source don't update from it or tap to click and touchpad will mess up org Eger updates from nvidia sypnatik/ input r no good

Reinstall os install every thing run updates but video drivers till last once its installed delete SCR don't don't run updates till its gone ( some one confirm this fix with me or am I the lucky one :)

Josh,

when you file a new bug, you enter the summary, check for existing bugs, tell Launchpad that you need to file a new bug and *then* the rest of the window opens with a qestion "In what package did you find this bug?" with 2 things to select:
[X]) I don't know
[ ]) <field to enter the package name> . (Choose...)
It's easy to overlook, but it's there.

this issue has been resolved with package synaptiks - 0.8.1-1ubuntu3.

Nevertheless I'm experiencing this problem with openSUSE-12.3, KDE-4.10.3, synaptiks-0.8.1-36.1 and also with the synaptiks-0.8.1-6.2.1 from the opensSUSE-12.3 OSS repo.
Please reopen.

systemsettings (4.11.00) on KDE Platform 4.11.00 using Qt 4.8.2

After an upgrade to KDE 4.11 from a PPA repository (I'm running Ubuntu 12.04.3, LTS), touchpad settings are just crashing.

It was working accordingly before upgrade.

I removed and reinstalled related package, but issue remains.

Hello KDE today I've updated my system,debian testing and now I cant configure my synaptics touchpad manager.If I tap to touchpad feature in settings menu it crashes every time with this report :

- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I get a crash if the rapoo adapter is connected. If this adapter is disconnected I am get a normal start of the settings Synaptics
