I had ordered a shutdown but there had been no activity and I couldn't click anything (the desktop had frozen) so I just turned the computer off by keeping the power button pressed for a few seconds. On the next startup, after I had logged in with my usual username/pass I had a window show up which said something in the lines that the file /home/my-
