Bug Description

I'm a moderator of ubuntu-users, and use the listadmin package to do
the work... Occasionally, it errors out and says to email the
maintainer. I did that, but this seems better so I'm doing both.

The most recent message:

fetching data for <email address hidden> ... Can not find
version information, please mail maintainer. at /usr/bin/listadmin
line 705.

Retrying works, but often takes several tries and is a pain; just now trying 10 times brought no joy. Perhaps tomorrow?

It has never been consistent. Sometimes I don't see it for weeks.

I submitted the report hoping that the line number of the report would
help in re-crafting to emit a message that might be helpful in
identifying the cause of the bug.

I get this, too.
Dumping the resoponse, I get the x-died header:
'x-died' => 'Missing newline after chunk data: \'u" type="RADIO" value="7" ></center></td>\' at /usr/share/perl5/Net/HTTP/Methods.pm line 481.',

So Perl doesn't read the whole page.
This might be caused by chunk data https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=80670
So an update of libwww-perl to 6.04 might fix the issue.

In fact, it seems to be rather libnet-http-perl as per http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=674788

and yeah, with that new version at least my listadmin works well again.
