memtest86+ reports false positives on test 7

The version of memtest86+ as included with Finnix 107 (x86) (at the least), reports false positives on good sticks of RAM during test 7.

There is an Ubuntu bug about this at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/memtest86+/+bug/1071209 and other Google results as well.

Using Finnix 107's version of memtest86+, both of my new sticks of RAM (8GB DDR3 SODIMM) showed as bad during test 7, reporting errors starting at 129MB and seemingly every subsequent address (I didn't let it run very long). But using the memtest86+ 4.20 ISO downloaded from http://www.memtest.org/, 3 complete passes completed in 8.5 hours, with 0 failures, on the same RAM in the same system.

To reproduce, boot the Finnix 107 CD, select memtest, and use the menu options to start test 7. You should see tens of thousands of errors very quickly. To check, use memtest86+ downloaded from memtest.org, start test 7, and observe no errors.

Finnix's Memtest86+ source tree is taken directly from the developer, so hopefully this will be fixed upstream eventually. But if not, I'll make sure to check before the next release, and use Ubuntu or Fedora's patched tree if not.
