Bug Description
Binary package hint: mozilla-thunderbird
When opening a plain text message, Thunderbird does not display the message until you click the expander on the subject line in the message view.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Use classic view with the message pane showing.
2. Open a mail folder with plain text messages
3. Select a plain text message from the folder
4. Expand / reduce the subject line
Expected Results:
The message body is displayed in the message pane on step 3 (as in previous versions)
Actual Results:
The last message to be displayed remains in the window (it even finishes drawing it, if it hasn't fully loaded before you select the plain text message) at step 3. It is only readable at step 4. If this was the first message selected from the folder, the message pane remains completely shaded with the message background colour.
Version Info:
version 1.5.0.10 (20070403) running on Ubuntu Feisty Fawn. Previously worked on Dapper Drake.

I have been unable to reproduce the bug since. I think the issue may have occurred due to an update installing in a dependant package while I was using Thunderbird. The update installed was in the package tzdata, from version 2007b-0ubuntu1 to 2007e-0ubuntu0. 7.04.
I'm not sure if this should count as a bug in Thunderbird, perhaps there is something the installer or tzdata should have done differently?
