Bug Description

When trying to convert files by selecting folder they fail to convert.
When selected individually, they manage to convert, the converted filesize (from the above original filesize) is 177.0 Mb.
Is this a possible bug?

Also, this bug stops other files that previously were able to convert from converting.

I managed to test on another system (a Intel Atom powered netbook). 64-bit Ubuntu 12.10 on Unity, stock Arista, conversion runs OK.
The system where the bug presents itself has an Intel Centrino Duo CPU with an ATI Radeon 2400 HD running Ubuntu 12.10 on Gnome-shell and fglrx-legacy on it (same Arista though).

as youre testing it on different spec setups, I thought I'd just mention mine...
My Mobo is an M3A76-CM running an AMD Athlon64 X2 5200+ with a NVIDIA 128MB GeForce6200 Turbocache graphics card.

Pooky, are you using standard (free) video drivers or accelerated (nVidia
proprietary) drivers? A pattern may be rising here.

Run the following command in a terminal and paste results here:
$ glxinfo |grep glx

Mine outputs the following:
server glx vendor string: ATI
server glx version string: 1.4
client glx vendor string: ATI
client glx version string: 1.4

I have temporarily uninstalled the 3D drivers, but Arista still errs. Even when issuing the command from the command line with a single file as parameter doesn't help.

FWIW, here's the glxinfo output after uninstalling fglrx:
server glx vendor string: SGI
server glx version string: 1.4
client glx vendor string: Mesa Project and SGI
client glx version string: 1.4

My system is 32-bit.
