Cannot type password into gksudo with onboard on nexus7

Bug Description

I run in aterminal

gksudo synaptic

the password dialog that pops up takes the window focus so that onboard cannot be used on nexus7

Hi,

Turning off the grab in gksu might help. Here is the command to enter into the terminal:
gconftool-2 -s /apps/gksu/disable-grab -t bool true

This might however have an impact on the security of the system.

Thanks for the tip.
I've got past it with an OTA cable to plug in an external USB keyboard but
wanted to record it for consideration by the developers.

There have been moves to deprecate gksudo anyway, and use a policykit alternative, thats the best long term solution.

What were you trying to access when gksudo popped up?
