I am facing the similar issue but it may be because I have two-factor authentication enabled for my google account. I think the app should support oauth based authentication; that should solve my problem atleast.

Hey Bhargav, that could have been the issue for the original reporter as well. Thank you for confirming this bug. I will triage the bug so that the developer has all the information necessary to fix this bug in the new release.

Bhargav I don't think that the two-factor authentication is the problem here. I just finished setting up my google two-factor authentication where you need to enter the code from your phone to login. However the thing is Google provides a special setup for applications which don't have this capability to ask for codes. So you go to account.google.com/security where you can generate an application specific password for your Google account. You can then use this password for logging into in Lightread.

Can you also confirm if this works for you as well?

I will nonetheless keep this bug open since it would be nice to have oauth based authentication. However I believe that the two-factor authentication is not the cause for this bug where the user can't login.

Hi all

Two factor is identification was never used on my account. My problem has
to do with logging out of GReader from in Lightread and not being able to
log back in.

I've searched for a cache folder that might have settings to delete and
start again buy can't find any.

Best
