Slingshot Doesn't Close At Times

So if I open Slingshot, sometimes if I click out of it (not by pressing Applications but by pressing on another part of the screen) it doesn't close. As you can see in the screenshot, I have chrome and Slingshot open. I can drag chrome around on the screen and browse the web while Slingshot stays open. You forgot to add the screenshot. Wingpanel is the upper bar with Applications label, clock and indicators. Did you mean the application launcher, Slingshot?

I am affected by this bug also. Edited and changed Wingpanel with Slingshot, as Ronnie C seems to confuse them.

This bug also affects me in a certain way. After dragging some icon from Slingshot to Plank, Slingshot won't close until I click "Applications" again (or use Super+space).

I know the screenshot isn't great, but Chrome is my active window. I'm able to click on it, drag it around. maximize it, and Slingshot still stays open. I have to go to Applications to get it to close.

For me, this isn't only when dragging icons. If I click applications, without doing anything else, and click outside of Slingshot, it won't close. This only occurs probably every 1/5 times I open it.

I think It may be my graphics card. I have a Nvidia GTX 560Ti. The reason I'm assuming my graphics card Is causing this issue is because while I was running Elementary Luna off a USB drive, with just the standard VGA drivers, I noticed this problem didn't occur. Any fix?

Nope, Slingshot is undergoing quite a big refactor, all bugs will be taken care of once it's complete.

I added bug 1094678 as duplicate. It has a good description, but is newer and had recieved less attention.

It seems Slingshot looses track of the mouse if clicks happen somewhere other than on it or on the desktop, then never gets the hint to close if subsequent clicks occur on the desktop or anwywhere else, except on the "Applications" menu. This occasionaly requires two clicks (one to return focus?) and will close slingshot.

Thanks for the update. Really looking forward to the final version!! In
fact I did have the os as a VM but I was that impressed that I have just
done a full install and made it my primary one :P I am a Linux noob though,
coming over from Windows 8 :)
