Bug Description

Whether importing MP3s into Noise from an external hard drive or copying the MP3s to the local Music folder and having Noise rescan the folder, it displays nothing in any of the library views after completion. Possibly related to bug #1045359 except that there's just nothing at all to play.

From a duplicate bug:

"The first time I loaded up "Noise" (the music player), I selected the folder /home/my-user-name/Music as the directory to scan. The scan appeared to happen, but none of the tracks appeared, the library stayed empty. Closing and restarting Noise fixed it (the library was filled after restarting Noise). However, the procedure for closing Noise was not immediately obvious because there is no Close command. Closing the window doens't end the program unless the music is paused. The only way to actually restart Noise is to pause the music, then close it."

"This also happened to me "The first time I loaded up "Noise" (the music player), I selected the folder /home/my-user-name/Music as the directory to scan. The scan appeared to happen, but none of the tracks appeared, the library stayed empty. Closing and restarting Noise fixed"

And happened again when I changed my source folder for music.

For quitting Noise it is normal - I mean it is the way it's been designed in eOS- to first quit the playing song, then the app can be "really" closed. If you let the song playing eOS "thinks" you don't want to quit the app but just minimize it to the dock - which is quite fair."

I should report that I haven't observed this behavior for quite a while.

I'm sorry. I can't get noise 0.2.3 (from luna) to work properly.
I uninstalled it and tried to build noise 0.3.0 but its giving me some troubles. Does any1 has a noise-0.3.0.deb for Luna amd64 ?
