eog freezes computer

Bug Description

Twice today when I switched back and forth between images eog froze my computer. Mouse could move but nothing responded to click or keyboard commands. Had to hard reset.

sorry for the delay, there are more tickets in the system than people to deal with those...

the log collected doesn't have lot of useful details. is the issue still happening to you? how do you trigger it, only with eog?
if that happens again, could you add your /var/log/Xrg.0.log(.old) and syslog logs to the bug?

That's fine. Just wanted to check whether were waiting on me.

I have since removed eog because of repeated freezes.

the freezes are not likely to eog, whatever an image viewer does the system should handle it fine, it seems like a bug in the drivers and having the logs would still be useful if you feel like investigating a bit more the issue

I already sent logs as requested after the last crash.

I tested a number of other image viewers and was not able to trigger a
crash with them.
But crash happened consistently with eog as described.
So problem does seem to be specific to eog.

No I don't get the issue any more because removed eog a few weeks ago.

ok, closing the bug, without logs got from the system just after getting the issue there is not a lot of we investigate
