Nvidia drivers failure caused by MISSING Ubuntu 12.10 headers

Bug Description

Any attempt to install and use an Nvidia driver on 64-bit Ubuntu 12.10 will result in a locked system following a reboot and logon.

a NOOB will neither understand the problem nor comprehend that it can be remedied via the following prior to installing/selecting and Nvidia driver:

sudo apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r)

In addition, if the kernel is upgraded then nvidia driver needs to be reinstalled in order for its modules to be rebuilt.

It could be fixed with:

sudo apt-get install linux-headers-generic

Also, I will make as duplicate of #1068341.
