Bug Description

Hi,

I just upgraded from Ubuntu 12.04 to Ubuntu 12.10.

Now Gufw seems to be broken.

I can not add any rules, even the pre configed ones.

I get "Error Performing Operation" every time.

Any ideas?

Hi! Could you try from shell:
sudo apt-get purge gufw ; sudo apt-get install gufw

Well ;) Could you enable the Gufw Log (from preferences menu) and repeat the add action. Then try those commands in the terminal and paste here the exit. Thanks in advance!

Was already enabled.

Not sure what you mean by exit.

Here is the log in Gufw itself:

[10/20/12 14:06:05] ufw enable
[10/20/12 14:06:11] ufw allow in proto tcp from any to any port 51413
[10/20/12 14:06:11] ufw allow in proto udp from any to any port 51413

Just enter this command in the terminal:
sudo ufw allow in proto udp from any to any port 51413

ERROR: initcaps
[Errno 2] ip6tables v1.4.12: can't initialize ip6tables table `filter': Address family not supported by protocol
Perhaps ip6tables or your kernel needs to be upgraded.

Indeed it is, well for now I have gone back to ufw_0.31.1-1 and it's working again as expected.
