It seems that the spanish translation is way behind with respect to the current version of acetoneiso.
From what I see it is 50/500 messages, which is 10%

This is not enough to show (even partially) spanish translation.
We will have to wait until someone updates the current translation files.

Ignore my previous message about not showing any translation messages when partial translation is not enough.

I check and it seems that spanish translation is loaded (although too few things are really translated)
In order to check yourself you can check on the menu:

Help -> Acerca de
instead of
Help -> About

Please let me know if this is the case.

I just checked it and it's true, I see the word "about" translated. In Wikipedia says <<AcetoneISO is currently translated to: English, Italian, Polish, Spanish, Romanian, Hungarian, German, Czech, and Russian.>>, so I though it was actually translated. My apologies.

Could you tell me where can I see if the applications are translated or not? And I'd like to collaborate in some translations of Qt/KDE applications when I have time. Thanks!

I couldn't find in acetoneiso's website a link to contribute translations. I recommend you to contact the developer at http://www.acetoneteam.org/contact.php

Unfortunately you cannot translate acetoneiso online like other packages.

If you plan to do some translation of the package you will have to use the QT linguist program.
If you are not aware on how to do it, then I can send you some instructions.

When you do, then I can include the translation in the official package.

For now, I am closing the bug as Invalid.

Changed in acetoneiso (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid

I have created a page on launchpad for the project and enabled tarnslations.

If someone wants to translate you can go here:

Thanks! Is this only for the Ubuntu package or for the application in general?

I will make sure that the translations in Ubuntu are included in
debian and ubuntu.
People from other places can also take the updated packages with the
translations and do whatever they want for them.
I will forward the changes also upstream, but the people there seem
unresponsive for the last year or so.

Bottom line: Translations are openly available. For official inclusion
in upstream, the upstream authors have to do an upstream release.
