Bug Description
most modern applications "grey out" the save icon if there are no changes to be saved, ie, the opposite of having the "*" before the filename to show that there are changes..
can someone please implement that?

Not only the Save icon (when there's nothing to save), but also:
* Copy and Cut, when nothing is selected.
* Paste, when the clipboard is empty.
