Bug Description

Binary package hint: totem-gstreamer

Any video that is opened with totem-gstreamer, if it's colorspace is YUV (i.e. XviD video)
has the chroma components (UV) swapped, i.e. red is appearing as blue and blue is appearing
as red.
This problem also occured in Ubuntu 6.10.

I have an ATI X1650, a fresh install of Ubuntu Feisty with additional codecs auto-installed by
totem-gstreamer, and the ATI driver was auto-installed too using the restricted drivers manager.

The problem goes away if I select "X Window System (No Xv)" instead of

Looks like an ATI closed source driver bug

I also thought it was a driver problem, but I only have this problem with this application.
VLC mplayer and others play just fine.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 beta?

I'm unable to install the ATI drivers on 8.10, but the issue has been gone
for quiet some time now with 8.04.
Not sure if it was a Totem fix or an ATI one.
