"Inkscape a connu une erreur interne et va se fermer maintenant" and... Crash.
I don't know where I could find a crash log.
I m running on Ubuntu 10.04 kernel 2.6.32-43-generic

How can I help you to help me?
;-)

Thanks a lot

AFAUCT this is the reason why Inkscape crashes: you have an outdated unstable development version of cairo installed which is known to crash when trying to print. This has been reported earlier for Inkscape, e.g. in:

Bug #594144 “Internal error when printing using Cairo snapshot 1.9.x”
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/594144>
Bug #673939 “Inkscape 0.48 r9654 crashes on print”
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/673939>

and other duplicate reports of Bug #600622 in cairo (Ubuntu): “inkscape assert failure: inkscape: /build/buildd/cairo-1.9.10/src/cairo-surface.c:337: _cairo_surface_begin_modification: Assertion `! surface->finished' failed.”
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cairo/+bug/600622>

Linking as duplicate to bug #600622.

I've found cairo_1.8.10-2ubuntu1.debian.tar.gz
<https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/+source/cairo/1.8.10-2ubuntu1/+files/cairo_1.8.10-2ubuntu1.debian.tar.gz>
(30.3 KiB)and dowloaded it.
I decompressed it and then, I don't know how to install.

What is the way I should do this?
