blank dialogue boxes from installer prevent installation of Lubuntu 12.10 PPC Desktop

Dialogue boxes appearing with the installer for Lubuntu 12.10 Desktop build of Sept 7 2012 present with the header only and an outline of where the rest of the dialogue box would appear.

This also occurs in other places such as Ubuntu-bug run from terminal.

The attached pictures show what is happening.

The computer is an eMac G4 (1.12 Ghz) with 1 Gig RAM and 80 Gig hard drive. Was attempting a full disk install to the internal hard drive.

It is more lokking like an xorg problem. Is the live system working for you in any case?

Right at the moment I'm having trouble with both the PPC live system
and the alternate. Can't get any of the latest builds to boot properly
on the eMac, as my bug reports describe. Quite honestly at this point
I'm not sure if it's me, my eMac, or the product.

The same computer, the eMac, runs it's own OS X just fine so....

At one point a few days ago I actually went back to Precise to see if
that would work. It worked just fine, both live and alternate.

go figure :(
