Yes this really needs a .deb for it. I spent the majority of my day trying to compile and get this running.

Although I made reasonable success I have given up for a while as my compiled version won't run.

I do not want to copy the entire game to the home directory.

I just tried the package. Diaspora complains about files not found. It seems to look in a wrong directory to find it:
/build/build-diaspora_1.0.4-1~getdeb2-i386-xnonMx/diaspora-1.0.4/Diaspora/wxlauncher/resources

Here is the error as returned in the terminal:
Fatal Error: Unable to load splash image. This normally means that you are running the Launcher from a folder that the launcher does not know how to find the resource folder from.

The launcher is expecting (/build/build-diaspora_1.0.4-1~getdeb2-i386-xnonMx/diaspora-1.0.4/Diaspora/wxlauncher/resources) to contain the resource images.
Aborted (core dumped)

Seems to be something wrong with the package.

Damn, I did not notice that locally because the files where in my build directory.

I played two missions with my packages, honestly.
