Yes, this crasher is sometimes seen, just after shotwell occurence.

I have also seen that you have used a not actual build for installing.

Please use a image from here:

http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/

there is in moment ubiquity2.11.26 in there, which might have a fix for this in it(do not know exactly).

May be that this simple helps.
