Bug Description

Or anywhere else in the filesystem other than $HOME.

I tried saving a file somewhere else than $HOME and it apparently did save, except it did not save to the location specified and instead defaulted to $HOME (letting me belive it did). Choosing save project as... and then pointing to another location doesn't help using GNOME's file dialog (use the drop menu to choose "other" and then navigate to this other location) only to find that OpenShot saved the project to my /home directory, and even to other directories INSIDE it, I cannot save to (for instance to $HOME/Videos/Projects/<project_name>), so I end up having to forcibly save to $HOME/ and a bunch of .osp files desorganized.

System: Fedora 17
OpenShot version: 1.4.2 gotten from RPMForge (openshot-1.4.2-4.fc17.noarch.rpm)
LibMLT version: 0.7.8-1.fc17.x86_64

Installed through yum

I regularly save to $HOME/openshot_projects/project_name/project.osp without any problem. Does Fedora 17 use Gnome 3? Maybe there is a problem there somewhere.

But there is nothing in the code of OpenShot that limits where you can save your projects.

I installed Openshot on a clean install of Ubuntu 12.10 and this seems to be happening to me, as well. I've exported out two projects, specifically to folders inside the /Home/Videos directory, and then I couldn't find them afterwards. They have saved themselves directly to the /Home directory.

I believe this may be related to Bug #1058514

Can reproduce this on OpenShot 1.4.3 on Fedora 17 - both on GNOME 3.4 and Xfce 4.10 (two different computers).

I think this is the same bug as the one #3 pointed out too.
