Bug Description
Filed against kernel because this is due to the LIve CD environment.
First, I am unable to boot the live CD at all on my S-10 for Quantal without using nomodeset. After using nomodeset, the live CD boots and I get into the desktop. Once there, the touchpad does not work and the launcher continuously opens (accessed via the Super key), and I am unable to actually use the system at all.
I was hoping to test Quantal on this system and see if the 3D only Unity works, but I am unable to even get to the installation part with the standard desktop live CD.
FWIW, I'm using the current daily-live as of 21 August 2012.

FWIW, this behaviour is on the Live CD environment for Quantal so far. the current Precise install on the machine works fine with none of these issues.
