Bug Description

Wishlist #1. Show orbits for asteroids, or at least be able to identify a period of time, and see a projected path.
Wishlist #2. I would like to be able to attach a "place marker" (or several) to help me keep track of what I am working on.
Wishlist #3. When I have an asteroid on the screen, I would like it to stay on the screen until I delete it. As it is now, when I click on anything else, the asteroid marker disappears.

Thanks.
Great Program!!!

Here is the question I asked, from which Alexander created this wishlist :

Hi!
It would be nice to create a plugin that traces an asteroïd, comet, or planet path between two dates, plot it on the screen and save the path trace for futur use (such as the constellation's lines).

The options to implement would be :
- choose from a list the objects to show/hide
- enter the dates/times from - to the path is to be calculated
- time step between two label stickers
- number of marks on the path between two label sticker
- label sticker composition (to choose from object name, date, time, visual magnitude, size...)
- color of the path line
- show/hide legend

Then a show/hide window that lists out all the paths saved and shows/hide/delete the selected paths.

Ideally, this function (plugin ?) should be issued BEFORE the Panstarr and Linear comets are "on the show" !

You're right Alexander. It could be whether a new plugin or an addition to the Solar system plugin.

I think in last snapshots of Stellarium this feature request is done already.
