Unable to increase or decrease brightness with Fn key on Samsung RV510

As mentioned in bug #854065: The osd-notify gives visual feedback that the brightness is being changed but the LCD brightness remains the same.

I have tested this with the latest mainline kernel v3.6-rc1-quantal and the problem still exists.

Unfortunately, sudo modprobe samsung-laptop doesn't do anything on either the mainline kernel or the current 3.2.0-27.43-generic 3.2.21 kernel.

Closing as I don't have access to this laptop, the Ubuntu release is EOL and support for the hardware is probably EOL as well.
