When built against >= 2.32-1, python-distutils-extra automatically finds and installs the gschema file to usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/ leading the postinst script to fail as it isn't where it expects it to be. There is a fix pending.

When version 11.11.28-0ubuntu1.2 enters proposed, simply ensure that it installs as expected.

This fix completely drops the moving of the gschema file in the postinst script. As long as it is built against python-distutils-extra >= 2.32-1 there should be no problem. This version is in precise-release.

Update from 1.1. to 1.2 did not work automatically because of the error in 1.1

I hear that this is fixed for people that uninstall and re-install, but I'm assuming that we won't be asking all users to do that, right? Can we expect a release that will just work for -proposed users so they can just do a normal apt-get update/upgrade?

Or is the problem such that we really have no choice but to require all -proposed users to do a manual uninstall and reinstall?
