Bug Description

--- SRU Justification ---

[IMPACT]

This is a regression in the version in precise-proposed. It will effect all users of the package with proposed enabled. It is caused by being built against a newer version of python-distutils-extra. When built against >= 2.32-1, python-distutils-extra automatically finds and installs the gschema file to usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/ leading the postinst script to fail as it isn't where it expects it to be. There is a fix pending.

[TESTCASE]

When version 11.11.28-0ubuntu1.2 enters proposed, simply ensure that it installs as expected.

[Regression Potential]

This fix completely drops the moving of the gschema file in the postinst script. As long as it is built against python-distutils-extra >= 2.32-1 there should be no problem. This version is in precise-release.

Hello mvario, or anyone else affected,

Accepted indicator-weather into precise-proposed. The package will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-weather/11.11.28-0ubuntu1.2 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please change the bug tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not, change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance!

selli, you are trying to install the old and buggy version. The new package is 11.11.28-0ubuntu1.2.

Try to uninstall it first using apt-get remove --purge indicator-weather.
Then update your sources, followed but an installation of indicator-weather. If there is still no sign of 11.11.28-0ubuntu1.2 then your sources don't include it (yet).
