Possible Unity Crash when screen locked and left for some time

Bug Description

I locked the screen and left the system running for some time and when i unlocked the screen i could see the desktop appearance got dismangled, the unity launcher couldnt unhide itself. The User menu on top right corner went out of the screen that i couldn't access the user menu to log out of the system.

Could you please check your /var/crash/ directory for a relevant .crash file from compiz?

There is no .crash file found in the specified directory.

Unfortunately we can't do anything unless some details of the crash are provided.

Please check /etc/default/apport to make sure you have crash reporting turned on in future.

The actual problem that i faced is described in the bug #1016854. Some one there told me that it could be a crash and hence i uploaded the above stuff.
