Bug Description

... firefox crashed

firefox has crashed. I tried to send the file through apport but its not good enough yet. Hence using rapidshare to send the crash report.

http://rapidshare.com/files/24213377/_usr_lib_firefox_firefox-bin.1000.crash.html

One question though, I hope my usernames & passwords are safe. I was not doing anything with them when the crash occured but asking.

Extracted from symbolized stacktrace:

that kind of personal information isn't shared here. Can you re-create this, or was it a one time fix?

what do u mean by one-time fix, do u mean has firefox crashed befoe, than sure, I just did not upload or report it as its a pain uploading through rapidshare. If there is further occurence, would report it through rapidshare.com . Also reported another crash of firefox but tht one was detected due to adobe ś non-free flashplugin https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/100007 which I further posted for an upstream fix. although looking back at the original it was not needed. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/102096 . There have been atleast couple of more occurences.

I guess he askes if this is a one time crash or if you can reproduce. For the latter we can tell you how to properly retrace your crash in order to get a tiny file that is useful for us (instead of the huge crash report you otherwise need to attach).

It would be cool if i could retrace the crash so I could get a tiny file tht would be useful to you which in turn would make for a better experience for me :)

Now again it happened, I have also installed couple of extensions, perhaps they could be part of the reason also why it must be crashing?

yes, try if in -safe-mode firefox does not crash anymore. Start like:

 # firefox -safe-mode
