3) What is expected to happen is in dialog boxes (ex. when one presses Ctrl F) and types g in the text box, it shows the entire character.
4) What happens instead is the bottom part is not displayed. Screenshot of issue:

Original Reporter Comments: Feisty on amd64. I have troubles with characters in OpenOffice dialogs. They are not fully displayed. Down part of letters is hidden. This is not the case in Windows. I'll attache a screenshot showing the problem.
+ Unreproducible in Ubuntu 11.10 32-bit.
