Slingshot area remains obstructed after closing

When launching applications with the keyboard (it doesn't matter how Slingshot itself was launched), the area Slingshot occupied becomes unsensitive until I press ESC.

I too have this problem. What's really happening is that the window becomes invisible, but it still functionally acts as thought it is open. So I'll click, and, say, the calculator will launch. Like the original poster says, a simple ESC fixes it, so launching programs becomes a two-step process - CLICK or ENTER to launch a program, ESC to clear out invisible slingshot.

According to Keith's description, his issue is slightly different than mine. In his case, the invisible Slingshot can still launch applications; in my case, it only blocked the way. Also, I only got this issue when I opened apps with Enter.

However, I can't reproduce this bug anymore, not even on a system that wasn't updated since reporting it.

This bug was potentially introduced by revisions 224 and 226. We should have reviewed more carefully, since these don't seem to be proper fixes.

This is really causing problems for me. I spent a lot of time trying to hunt down a Gala focus bug when in fact it was an invisible Slingshot bug. ;)
