Bug Description

I have a contineous increase of memory usage until mixxx freezes or gets killed at 85% to 90% memory usage after some 10..20 minutes (analysed with htop).

If I reload the controllers, there is not increase for a certain time (1..10 seconds), but then the memory continues to go up again.

The effect was only occuring with OTUS EKS RAW DJ Controller plugged in and a HID DJ-Controller selected and enabled.

The effect was occuring with four randomly selected HID-DJ-Controller mappings.

The effect was occuring in all mixxx 1.11 alpha versions and with the first beta as well mixxx_1.11.0-beta1-0ubuntu1_amd64.build

System:
Ubuntu lucid lynx
Intel Dual Core 2.X GHz
Fujitsu Siemes Laptop (bought in 2011)
4GB RAM
500GB HD

Error also occurs on mixxx version, which is built on the laptop from the source code.

Hi Ryan,

I will have a look, but I think I have not installed lucid lynx any
more, because I really needed mixxx running with my OTUS RAW DJ
Controller over the new HID-interface for two parties this summer.

I have now installed ubuntu LTS12.04 and linux mint, both with a newer
KERNEL, where the error did not occur anymore.

Basically I had no single mixxx crashing during the two parties with the
latest alpha release, which I have installed at the moment.

If I remember well, installing lucid lynx was quite a torture because of
the changed panel, which was awfully bad, so that I had to install the
good old gnome panel.

I can try to look for a unused partition on the hard disk of my PC over
the weekend and If I succeed tell you the result.

What I will do for sure is adapting a EKS OTUS RAW mapping, which suits
me, as soon as I have time and as soon as the new mixxx release is
available.

You and the whole team is really doing a great job with this program.

Kind regards
Hans-Jörg
