Bug Description

The install of lxc failed. I removed it, did apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade; apt-get install lxc and it still doesn't work.

Thanks for reporting this bug. I believe it is a duplicate of one of two bugs causing lxc-net to fail to start. To figure out which it is, could you please show the results of:

ps -ef | grep dnsm
dpkg -l | grep dnsm
ls -l /bin/sh

Changed in lxc (Ubuntu):
status: New → Incomplete

Thanks, Randy, it looks like you definitely hav ebug 1000174, and perhaps also bug 928524.

A fix for 1000174 is awaiting verification in precise-proposed, I'm not sure whether 928524 was meant to be SRUd. If you could try the precise-proposed lxc package, and if you find it's not enough, then that might be good reason to SRU the other.

I'll mark this a dup of 1000174 for now. If you find that fix is not sufficient, please repsond to this bug and I'll mark it a duplicate of the other instead.
