I'm having a hard time parsing your 'time' output, but it at least looks
like:

bzr co 4.4 test1 ... 27:38,51
bzr co --lightweight ... test1 test2 4:28,71

Which says it is about 6-7x faster to do the checkout without having a
source working tree... (And that is even while running --lsprof.)

Certainly it looks like we may want a way to tell bzr *not* to look at
source working trees when building a new WT.
