That icon should be a different from the trash icon.
It's use by the applications for the "delete" action and it's taken from the "actions" folder and it's called "edit-delete" with symlinks to "editdelete", "gtk-delete" and "stock_delete"
I made a quick idea based on the ball of paper from the trash for this icon.
