BleachBit 1.6 does not use a separate thread for the GUI and "cleaning worker." With small files it works fine because it will update the GUI every 2 seconds or so, but when the worker is busy cleaning for a long time, it will freeze the GUI.

For now the workarounds are:
1. Disable overwriting
2. Use the command line
3. Please be patient :)
