Windows 7 Professional SP1

BleachBit installed from Bleachbit website

With the following deselected:
Recent Items More
Windows 7/8 QuickLaunch
Windows 7/8 ShellBags

I still had to white list C:\Users\Tom Usher\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\CustomDestinations to keep the .customDestinations-ms files from being deleted.

I've also been using CCleaner with winapp.ini and trim.bat. The deselections work in CCleaner.

I could find nothing on the Internet about this issue in BleachBit but like the program, appreciate your efforts, and wanted to notify you of this seeming bug.

Thank you for the bug report with many good details.

When you have this problem, do you have selected "Recent documents list" under "Windows Explorer"?

"Recent documents list" deletes custom destinations

You can see more detail in the cleaner definition here

Thank you, Andrew. In future, I'll search the code first.

I do.

If I understand correctly,
AutomaticDestinations\*.automaticDestinations-ms are what I might term
Windows-session jumps (for lack of a better name) and
CustomDestinations\*customDestinations-ms are deliberately pinned jumps.
Windows Help calls the custom ones "favorites."

If that is correct, I advocate CustomDestinations\*customDestinations-ms
have its own check box that when checked, pops a warning that "all
pinned jump-list items on both the Start menu and the taskbar" will be
deleted.

After your changes, I no longer had to whitelist CustomDestinations to protect Jump Lists from being deleted.

Also, you now have "Jump Lists" as a standalone checkbox under "Microsoft Windows."

As for "Recent documents list" under "Windows Explorer," it wasn't clear before the changes above but now seems to be sufficiently labeled.

Therefore, I consider this "bug" closed.

Thank you for your efforts. I'm sorry I hadn't realized that I needed to close this ticket. I had wondered why you had continued adding to it but thought you had your own reasons where I need not take any actions.
