Bug Description

Hi,
Hope that I am right here to get help and/or report program failures.

I use ubuntu 12.04 and just installed BitBudget to controll my Mobile Broadband account, and now the program doesn't start. It is in the startup applications, but nothing starts. When I click the icon in the launcher, it blinks and - nothing. Either before or after I log into my ISP, no difference.

When I look in the system monitor, the bitbudget-daemon process is active, but no trace of the indicator-bitbudget-service (have read somewhere that both processes are usually working after bb startup).

Now that I read on and check, I notice that I have no file ~/.config/bitbudget, and in ~/.config/autostart, there is only the bitbudget icon, but no bitbudget.desktop. Maybe I have to install those manually, but where do I get them?

Any ideas??

Thank you
Bernhard, Austria

Ok, I found the bitbudget.desktop file, it is the icon in the ~/.config/autostart folder. Didn't notice the .desktop ending, oops.

Hi, I meant I found the bitbudget.desktop file, but the problem is still the same: bitbudget doesn't start, and the ~/.config/bitbudget is not to be found. help please??
Or is there any other download traffic controller, that someone can recommend??
thx
Bernhard

I'm not sure what's causing this. As an alternative you could use vnstat - a command line monitor. It's available in the Software Centre if you search for it.
