A new variation on what I take it is the same problem:
1) Open two writer documents - the two little triangles on the left side of the icon appear as they should
2) Close one of them - both triangles on the left side disappear, but the one on the right (the one that indicates that the application has focus) remains. Clicking the icon opens a new instance, rather than giving focus to the open document (Super+W can recover it)
3) Close the open document and open a new one - the new document does not associate with any icon at all on the launcher, but all long the 'focus' triangle remains next to the writer icon all along
As of a week or so ago things would work right for a while, and the bug in this post would only show up every couple of days. Since yesterday, though, the bug seems to be showing up pretty much every time I use libreoffice (which is everyday)
As everyone else is saying, please fix this ASAP. Ubuntu is the only OS on my only computer, and this is making it pretty hard to get my work done.
