I'm using Kubuntu 12.04 and now I can edit my reports on report-buider. I adapted to:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/libreoffice-universe
sudo apt-get update

kubuntu Auto update starts and update libreoffice

sudo apt-get install libreoffice-report-builder
