Thanks for the report, but it's a different problem for Trusty.

You can't use fglrx-installer on Radon HD [Mobility] 2000-3000-4000 series with Ubuntu ≥ 12.10 out of the box.

See the bug #1058040 : there are workarounds which are explained there (downgrade Xorg server using a PPA) but I think there's not the the good place to deal with it.
