Your downgrade to 2:8.960 worked flawlessly until this is fixed. Terminal lines now respond as they always have. Same errors with update as everyone else so no need to C&P mine.
ATI 4870 card. Kernel 3.2.0-58. Ubuntu 12.04.4. amdcccle works. Fans slowed down.
