Note: Menu feedback has been taken into consideration, and a set of menu improvements are planned as part of the 12.10 'Enhanced Menu' project (see bug description). This bug is already being used for tracking the status of this project, so I am rolling all the bugs that will be fixed by 'Enhanced Menu' project into this single bug.
