Hi Cyberdude,

I think there is a easier way to see if this bug is related to kde4plugin.
You need to rename kde4plugin.py (ex: kde4plugin.py.org) so it won't be loaded.
The file should be installed in: /usr/share/backintime/plugins/
This plugin is just to display systray icon so it won't interrupt backup process.
