pointing precisely with a trackpad is a pain; with the standard scrollbar I can throw the mouse at the right-hand side of the screen and it's pretty much guaranteed to land in an active area, but with the overlay scrollbar I need to move the mouse one pixel away from the edge before it will register

As this is an UI/usability regression from earlier releases, this would be appropriate and even appreciated to fix in a natty SRU.

Was the status change to "opinion" by accident? This bug is a usability regression. And, it does in fact exist, affecting all users of overlay-scrollbars.
