If all installations were to ship exactly the same stuff, there would be no point using one or the other, don't you think?
Anyway, I just sent the patch upstream and let's see what they say. In my case, I don't really care anymore cause I switched to archlinux about 3 years ago and I am using my own patched version of nautilus-
