I believe this requires some design input since there seems to be some inconsistency. Let me explain.

1. Currently pressing Alt+Tab shows the applications only in the current workspace (LOCAL)
2. The spread Super+W is currently being fixed to show applications from all workspaces (GLOBAL)
3. This bug reports that the launcher only shows indications of applications in the current workspace (LOCAL)

As you can see, these functions perform differently which can confuse users. Hence the design team needs to make a decision regarding how these should work.

Hence marking incomplete until further feedback from the design team.
