Comment 5 for bug 497002

For anyone else experiencing this problem with pulseaudio:

- There is an open feature-request
- Remove "pulsemixer" from line 68 of /usr/(local/)share/avant-window-navigator/applets/volume-control/volume-control.py
-- this will cause the applet to fall back to alsamixer, giving it independant channel support
